The annual conference hosted by the Texas Association of Property & Evidence Inventory Technicians brings together property and evidence professionals, law enforcement personnel, and industry experts for specialized training, collaboration, and professional development.

Our Purpose

To promote professional education, laws, rules, and guidelines that ensure the integrity, proper chain of custody, and appropriate disposal of property and evidence.

Our Goals:

  • Provide ongoing education and training.
  • Advocate for changes in laws that allow for clear and simple interpretation.
  • Establish agreement between the District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement agencies regarding the return and disposal of property and evidence.
  • Implement a standardized timeframe for courts to notify agencies of the disposition of property and evidence.
  • Develop and share examples of standardized operating procedures.
