 Tim Brown

Tim Brown is a highly respected former FDNY firefighter, emergency management professional, and nationally recognized speaker whose life and career have been shaped by service, sacrifice, and resilience in the face of tragedy. A decorated 20-year veteran of the Fire Department of New York, Tim served as a first responder during both the 1993 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the devastating attacks of September 11, 2001, where he lost 93 friends and colleagues, including his two best friends.

Tim’s distinguished career included assignment to Rescue Company 3 in the Bronx, one of FDNY’s elite rescue units, as well as service in Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s Office of Emergency Management. He was also a member of the New York Urban Search & Rescue Task Force that responded to the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Following 9/11, Tim served on special detail with the federal government as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Health and Human Services during the Anthrax terrorist attacks of 2001–2002. During this time, he became a founding member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and earned Top Secret government clearance while helping establish command and control systems within the newly formed department.

Throughout his career, Tim has responded to some of the nation’s most significant disasters and critical incidents, including assisting Rhode Island officials following the tragic 2003 Station Nightclub fire that claimed 100 lives. His expertise in emergency response, leadership, and crisis management has made him a trusted advisor and respected voice across the country.

Tim has dedicated much of his life to preserving the memory of those lost on September 11th and advocating for truth, honor, and resilience in the aftermath of tragedy. He has appeared as a commentator on major national news networks including FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC, and has been featured in numerous documentaries, including the Peabody Award-winning documentary Rebirth.

Tim Brown will share a powerful and deeply personal presentation centered on the themes of Truth in History and the enduring belief that Good Overcomes Evil. Through firsthand experience, reflection, and lessons learned from unimaginable adversity, Tim inspires audiences with a message of courage, hope, and the importance of never forgetting.


  James Luongo
Retired Deputy Chief James Luongo dedicated four decades of service to the New York City Police Department, holding numerous leadership roles throughout his distinguished career. Among his most notable assignments, he served as the World Trade Center Recovery Operations Commanding Officer, overseeing critical operations during one of themost significant and challenging events in our nation’s history.

Drawing from decades of experience managing complex investigations, large-scale operations, and evidence-related responsibilities, Deputy Chief Luongo will share valuable insight into the handling, organization, and management of property and evidence. His presentation will provide attendees with practical knowledge, leadership perspectives, and lessons learned from a career spent at the highest levels of law enforcement operations.



 Kenny Mitchell
Lieutenant Kenny Mitchell is a highly respected 20-year veteran of the Fire Service based in Richmond, Virginia, and the founder of Operation Yellow Tape, an organization dedicated to trauma recovery, resilience, and community healing. Through his years of service as a first responder, Kenny has witnessed firsthand the profound impact traumatic events have on individuals, families, and communities, shaping his passion for helping others navigate adversity with strength and hope.

Drawing from both personal and professional experiences on the front lines of emergency response, Kenny has become a powerful advocate for resilience, compassion, and community engagement. His work through Operation Yellow Tape brings together first responders, organizations, and community members to foster support, healing, and connection in the aftermath of trauma.

Known for his authentic and engaging speaking style, Kenny connects deeply with audiences by sharing personal stories, lessons learned, and practical insights on overcoming challenges and building stronger communities. His message inspires individuals to embrace resilience, support one another, and recognize the critical role compassion plays in healing and recovery.

Lieutenant Mitchell will share a meaningful and motivating perspective on trauma, resilience, leadership, and the power of community to overcome even the most difficult circumstances
